Dominique F. Miller Dean, LCSW, is a native New Yorker who hails from Hempstead, Long Island. She currently is a Program Manager with Visiting Nurse Services Health (formally VNSNY) Queens Assertive Community Treatment Team and a per-diem Psychiatric Social Worker with Queens Mobile Crisis Management Services. Dominique attended the University of Bridgeport in Bridgeport, Connecticut, for her undergraduate studies and completed a Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 2008. In 2018, she obtained a Master of Social Work degree from Adelphi University in Garden City, New York. Dominique is a proud Fall 2010 member of the Enterprising Eta Nu Sigma Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., and currently presides on the chapter's Executive Board in the role of 1st Anti-Basileus (Vice President).
I enjoy working with adolescents, young and middle aged adults (individually and in groups) on a variety of topics, including not limited to relationships both platonic and romantic, interpersonal skills, family dynamics, personal growth, and anxiety and depression related issues to list a few. In her free time, she has performed with the musical ensemble Voices of Virtue, Inc. which is a nonprofit organization that encompasses a mixed choir of past and present members of the Hempstead High School Select Chorale. Their fundraiser efforts have assisted in providing funding to their music academy, which offers private music lessons to underprivileged youth. Last, Dominique sits on the board for Morrison Mentors, a nonprofit founded in Long Island to expose children to STEM experiences.
